It is so nice to have a play area! We can't wait to have some playdates!

Getting There!

We can't seem to keep Charlie off of Sully's bed!

This is Charlie's crib. We put on a breathable bumper because he sometimes loses his pacifier at night and will cry. I'll let you know if it actually works!

This pictures gives you an idea of how we set the room up. I made the quilt on Sully's bed last summer (I'm very proud of my work!). I made a quilt for Charlie while I was pregnant so I wanted to make sure both boys had one. It is amazing how much room there is in the room since we got rid of the full-size bed.

Moving around rooms always seems to be a bigger project than expected. We are still in the process of organizing and going through stuff. It's basically spring cleaning and it really forces you to decide what to keep and what to get rid of. The boys' room is done and now we just have to complete the play area!

Operation Roommate: Day 2

6:40 p.m.-Charlie goes to bed
7:20 p.m.-Sully doesn't want to go to bed but goes quietly and does not wake up his brother!
4:55 a.m.-I hear Charlie crying
5:00 a.m.-I'm afraid Sully might wake up and go in. Sully is stirring a little. I tell Charlie it's too early, give him his pacifier and put him back down.
5:10 a.m.-I hear Sully singing so I crack the door and motion for him to come out of his room. I have him go to the bathroom and tell him it's too early to be awake. He goes back into his bed quietly.
6:20 a.m.-Andy's leaving for work and still no peep from the boys.
6:30 a.m.-I'm hearing some waking up noises but noone has left the room.
6:49 a.m.-They are fully awake as I'm typing this post! They are talking quietly in the room.

Night 2 looks pretty good! Let's hope for a little later wake up call tomorrow!

New Bed and a Roommate!

Andy and I decided to re-claim our office and give Sully a roommate! He and Charlie are now sharing a room and so we bought Sully a toddler bed to make room for Charlie's crib. Charlie loves Sully's bed---something else for him to climb! The old "office corner" of the living room is now an official play area. So far, so good!

Book Talk!

I was gathering some information for my Dad to use at a workshop. He wanted Sully to tell about a story we had read.

Out for a Ride!

We took advantage of the great weather yesterday and Sully got some practice on his bike. Pretty soon, we won't be able to keep up!

The Zoo!

Bec and O

We went to story time at the zoo with Bec and O today. It was actually more of a sing-a-long and the kids really enjoyed it. We had some time afterwards to see the farm animals. It was a perfect day to be outdoors!

Here are some more pictures taken at Grant Park by Sully! Pretty impressive for a 4-year old. Grammy (Andy's mom) and Poppa (my dad) must be rubbing off on him!

Grant Park!

One of the teachers at Gymboree is taking photography classes and asked Bec and I if she could use the kids for her final project. We went to Grant Park after school and it was absolutely beautiful. It's nice to finally have some Spring weather!

Charlie wasn't too sure about the grass.

Sully enjoyed taking pictures with my camera---this is an interesting angle of Buckingham Fountain. Thank goodness for digital because when I got home I realized we had taken a total of 90 pictures!

Another Pair of Shoes!

Charlie loves to take off his shoes and socks. We are usually pretty aware of this but, Charlie lost a shoe over the weekend on a walk and we couldn't find it anywhere. So, he has a new pair of shoes and anytime he has them on he does this little dance. Enjoy!

Easter Morning!

Memorable Monday

This was Charlie rolling for the first time. It was like watching something in slow motion. Now he moves so much I can hardly keep up with him!

Mirror Lake State Park

We decided to do a little exploring while we were in the Dells and found Mirror Lake State Park. We did a little walking around and actually saw a beaver in the lake. It was a little tricky navigating the stroller around but it was a beautiful day for some "hiking!"

Getting Ready for the Bunny!

Sully is so excited about the Easter Bunny coming to our house! He loves finding the eggs that the bunny hides. Charlie wasn't very interested in coloring eggs but did enjoy watching Sully.
