More Camping!

We rented a golf cart for a day while we were camping. It was really nice to get around the campground and not have to get in the car all the time. The boys loved riding around in it!

The pool was great! There was a regular pool and then this "splash station." It had water squirting out and a few slides. It was really shallow so Charlie was feeling very comfortable (as was I!). It was a great way to cool off in this hot weather!

Sully wanted to show Charlie how to go down all the slides!

The Great Outdoors!

We spent the last two nights camping in Wisconsin. This was our 3rd attempt and the 3rd time is definitely a charm! I think we are getting the hang of camping with kids and learn something useful each time. The most important is that going for two nights is much better because the day you travel is hard on the kids (and adults). We arrived Monday afternoon and set up camp, had dinner at Culvers, got a fire going, watched cartoons outdoors and went to bed late. Tuesday, we played mini golf, swam, played, shopped the outlet malls, and cooked all 3 meals outside! Today we returned to city life!
(I will be posted lots more pics)

Charlie at the Farm!

Charlie looking at the creek with Aunt Laura
Excited about the corn!

Getting a lift after having some ice cream at Dairy Queen!

Four Wheelin' with Uncle Jim!

Charlie is always a busy boy and the farm only brought it out even more! There was so much to see and explore and Charlie was in heaven. Thank goodness for all the extra sets of hands to help keep Charlie from getting into too much mischief!

Fishing on the Farm!

There is a creek about a quarter mile down the road from the house. We all decided to walk down and let the kids fish. Trevor and Abby just learned a lot about fishing on a recent trip to Michigan and were able to share their expertise with Sully. Everyone caught a fish so it was a very successful trip!

Country Life!

Charlie thought this racket was his fishing pole! This is his excited face at the farm!

Sully running by the corn
The boys and I went down to the farm for a long overdue visit! The boys loved all the open space, tractors, cats and dogs, trampoline, fishing, and riding the 4-wheeler to name a few! I took a ton of pictures so keep checking back this week.

Pediatric Opthamologist!

Today I took Sully to the Pediatric Opthamologist for a second opinion. The Optometrist had also recommended we follow up to make sure there were no underlying medical problems with Sully's optic nerve, etc. The doctor was great and she did prescribe a stronger prescription for Sully's glasses and increased his patching to 2 hours each day. We will go again in three months. Sully's prescription will probably go up and down and will need to be adjusted somewhat frequently. Sully was a trooper even when they had to dilate his eyes! Charlie hung in there and we all made it home in time for lunch!

Cute Cousins!

Sully and Alex

Charlie and O pretending to have a sleepover---the conversation was adorable!

Charlie's famous "Excited Face!"

Sully ready to ride home!
On Wednesday, the kids and I had to go to the eye doctor and then we headed to a park. Bec and the kids were able to meet us for some playtime. Sully rode his bike (over a mile each way!) and I pushed Charlie in the stroller. Charlie and Olivia were playing together really nicely and Sully has been buddying up with kids his age when we go to the park. He is getting good at introducing himself and asking kids to play!

Charlie and the Chalk!

Andy took Sully to ice skating so Charlie and I headed out for a walk and some park time. The park had chalk out for all of the kids to use and Charlie took full advantage. As you can tell from his red cheeks, it was HOT! Don't worry, he cooled off in the sprinkler before we headed back home!

Work in Progress!

The painting begins!

Me lending a hand!

Sully told me I was taking too many pictures!
We made a trip to Home Depot this morning to pick out paint for the birdhouse. Sully decided on two shades of blue. While Charlie napped, the two of us got to work on the painting. Sully is doing the majority of the work and is taking it very seriously. We did a little more work tonight and hope to finish tomorrow with a little more painting and some embellishing!

Gymnastics!

Sully took gymnastics last summer and really wanted to do it again this year. I was able to enroll both of the boys at the same time. Charlie's class is a mom and tot class.

This is part of the facility. It's a nice place and there is actually another level as well. The big kids start upstairs and the little ones downstairs and then we switch after about a half hour.

It's hard to get pictures since Charlie is on the move! This is Charlie doing a somersault!

Charlie on the obstacle course!
I'll have to try and get some more pictures of Sully!

Family Fun Fest!

There was another festival this weekend right down the street. It was geared for kids so it was perfect! They had a jumping house, obstacle course, games, face painting, and this mini ferris wheel ride. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon and Andy even won Sully a cool light saver!
