Christmas Day!

The hostess!

We celebrated Chritmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Andy's family (hosted by Bec).  We had a great day snacking, visiting, opening gifts, and eating.  I was working on my photography a little more!

Legos Galore!

Charlie is totally into legos these days.  He got some sets for his birthday and then lots more for Christmas.  You can hardly tear him away from his building.  If he makes a mistake or can't figure something out, he gets distraught.  He can figure out most sets, even the difficult ones.  Andy is his go-to helper in the rare instances when he needs a hand.  (On a side-note, I got as new camera for Christmas!  These are the first shots I took.  I'm hoping to get better at this and start taking even better pictures!)

Charlie's Last Game

Charlie played soccer this fall for the first time.  Today was his last game in the fall season and he did a great job.  He was pretty into the game and even scored a goal!  The team and parents were all very nice and we'll see them again for spring soccer.  Way to go Charlie!

Better Late than Never!

Sully, Charlie, and I went to Michigan in August with my whole family.  We rented a house for the week and had a great time.  I know it's a little late but I took a ton of photos and wanted to post.

We went fishing every day.  Poppa had poles for all the kids and taught them all about fishing.  Everyone caught something!

Charlie and I even caught a turtle that he names Turtis.  He was a little sad when I told him Turtis had to go back in the pond.I didn't think Andy would be too happy if we came home with a pet turtle!

Trevor and Sully enjoyed fishing the most and were fishing buddies!

We all went canoeing.  I was a little out of practice but really enjoyed it.  Charlie even made up a few tall tales about falling out of the canoe.  He is quite a character!

I went to Mackinaw as a kid and couldn't wait to take the boys.  The loved the ferry ride and biking the 8-miles around the island.  Sully kept up with his older cousins the whole time and Charlie tagged-along with me!

Sully skipping stones with Uncle Jim!

The water was freezing but the kids enjoyed some time at the beach!

We went mini-golfing. It was a first for Abby and I think everyone got at least one hole-in-one!

Although the weather was a little on the cool side, we did everything we had planned. Laura, Jim, Bec, Matt, and I even managed a night out to dinner with no kiddos thanks to Poppa and Gramma.  It was fun staying up to visit with everyone.

Fall Sports!

Fall is not only back to school time but sports time!  This is the first year Charlie is trying an "organized" sport---soccer.  He seems to be enjoying it.  They practice for a half hour and then scrimmage with another team for a half hour.

Sully is trying out flag football for the first time.  This is in addition to hockey so our weekends are pretty busy!  He is doing well and has scored a few touchdowns already.  He is super fast and great at running the ball.

We were in need of some coaching so Mike (Hudson's dad) stepped up as head coach and Andy and Bill are assistant coaches.

My lack of posting is due to the business around here but I haven't given up on blogging yet!

The 3rd of July

We headed to Grammy and Grampy's om the 3rd for the usual festivities.  We went over to the park for fun and games followed by a wonderful cookout!  Sully qualified for the basketball finals and took 1st place.  He was super excited and won a gift card.  Now he just has to decide what movie to see!
