Back to School!

Sully started school on Tuesday but I had to work so Andy took him and grabbed a couple of pictures. Luckily, I had the day off on Thursday so I was able to spend some quality time with Sully. We started off by going out to breakfast. I took him to school and he showed me his new locker and I got to say "hi" to Mrs. Sarah, his teacher. I picked him up after school and we played on the playground before meeting up with Charlie.

Kindergarten, Here I Come!

Today was Sully's first day of Kindergarten. He was very excited to go back and see Mrs. Sarah who has been his teacher for the past two years! Andy was able to take him this morning and grabbed a couple of pictures for me.

Labor Day!

The boys and I headed to the park while Andy was getting ready to grill out on this unofficial last day of summer. Sully is enjoying climbing trees and is getting really good at it! He and Charlie played a little "soccer" as well. We all had a nice, long weekend together!

A New Park!

This park was recently completed near Andy's office. It has awesome green space and very cool equipment. There is also a "mister" which is nice because you can cool off without getting soaked. We will definitely be going back!

The Last Days of Summer!

Most nights after Charlie goes to bed, Sully and I play a game or two. Some of his favorites are Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Sorry, and Memory.

Tuesday was beautiful so we headed to the park before dinner to enjoy! Who knows how many of those hot summer days are left!

Charlie Bear!

Well as you can probably tell by my lack of posts lately, I am back to work. We are all adjusting and I am loving being back in the classroom. These pictures were taken last weekend. I am still blogging and will try to post more often!

Triple Berry Pie!

No, Charlie is not finger painting---he is enjoying some triple berry pie! The pie place is a very short walk from our house and one of Andy's favorite places. It has definitely rubbed off on the boys. Sully prefers chocolate chess pie!

Nature's Creatures!

Sully was invited to a classmates birthday party over the weekend. It was at a park with a sprinkler so everyone cooled off first, followed by cake. After that, there was the "entertainment" which was a Nature's Creatures presentation. The woman set up a mini petting zoo and showed the kids all kinds of creatures. Sully was a little unsure of the animals but Charlie has no fear and stepped right in. It was a fun party and nice to see some of Sully's friends that we haven't seen all summer.

Fish?

This is the first time Charlie has ventured in with floaties and he LOVED it!

Sully swam for about 4 hours yesterday! He can swim all the way across the pool with no floaties. He is turning into quite the fish! He can also dive to the bottom of the pool to get the rings. I am so excited that the boys love to swim as much as I do (maybe even more!).

My Little Tacos!

We always tell the boys they are little tacos when they are all wrapped up in a towel. I was trying to get this picture so I told them to say "taco" on the count of 3! Charlie thought it was hilarious so then I tried burrito, enchilada, quesadilla, etc. The boys certainly thought it was funny!

Abby!

Laura came to run/walk a 5K with me on Thursday. Abby came along too and hung out with Andy and the boys while Laura and I did our thing. On Friday we got to hang out with Abby and Laura and the boys LOVED it! They both want her attention and she is so great about playing with them. It was a great visit!

Exploring Nature!

We went to visit my mom on Tuesday. We were hoping for a swim day before I go back to school but the weather wasn't so cooperative. It did stop raining so we took the boys to a nature center to see the turtles, snakes, birds, and fish. We even walked around outside and could see how fast the creek was running due to all this rain. Sully could not believe all the flooding! Sully did get a chance for a swim while Charlie took his nap and I went shopping for clothes! My mom is always a trooper about getting in the pool no matter what the weather or water temperature!

A Beautiful Sunday Morning!

Gramma was a little nervous watching Charlie climb! He is amazing but it IS scary!

My parents were in the city so they met us for breakfast and then went to the park with us. There was a Farmer's Market at the park so we got a few items on our way out. The weather was perfect to be outside running around!

Park in the Burbs!

On Saturday afternoon, we decided to drive around by my new school to check out the area. We discovered this park in a quiet little neighborhood and stopped to play for a bit. It was a nice park but Sully wanted to know where all the kids were!
