One morning after breakfast, we decided to walk along the boardwalk. It didn't last too long due to the wind! It seriously could have blown the kids over!

As you can probably tell, we had a couple of days of cool weather! It was also very windy at the beginning of the week.

Vero Beach 2009!

We just got back from a week in Vero Beach, Florida. Some of the highlights...
*eating breakfast out each morning with my boys (Andy included), Bec, O, and Alex
*playing in the sand
*swimming
*reading and resting by the pool during naptime
*riding around in the golf cart
*Andy getting to play some golf with his dad and Sully even trying it out
*doing a little shopping at the outlet mall
*hanging out with Grammy and Grampy

Florida Here We Come!

One year ago, we went to Florida with Matt, Bec, O, Grammy, and Grampy, We stayed at Uncle Tim and Aunt Louellen's house. We leave tomorrow morning for a repeat vacation! Here are some pics from last year's trip, stay posted for this year's adventures!

Since Halloween fell on a Saturday this year, I decided to take the boys to my parents to trick-or-treat. Laura and the kids, Bec, Matt, O, and Alex joined us as well. Sully and Charlie both loved going to all the houses and seeing all of the other kids dressed up. Thanks to Grammy (Andy's mom) for making Sully's awesome Wizard cape! He was running so fast from house to house that he couldn't keep his Wizard hat on! The night ended with a neighborhood potluck party. People were eating and drinking and the kids were all running around and playing. I have to say that this was an awesome Halloween!

Trick or Treat Trot 2009!

I ran the 10K race and Sully participated in the kids Monster Mash Dash. The race for 2-4 year olds was a 50-yard dash. He did great! I wish I could have gotten some footage of him pumping those arms---he is really fast! My mom was in town so she came to the race to cheer us on with Charlie and Andy. After the kid's race, this man who was a former team member of the USA Track and Field Team (bottom photo) came up to tell us what great form Sully has and that he should be a sprinter! It was a great day for running!

Gramma's Visit!

My mom decided to come spend the day with us last Thursday. She came up in the morning so she could see Sully before school and then hung out with Charlie and I. We picked Sully up from school and all had dinner together. It was a perfect day!

Chicago Marathon 2009

I ran over with the boys yesterday morning to watch the marathon. We went early and had a great spot between miles 13 and 14. We watched the wheelchair racers and got to see the lead pack for men and women. It was awesome to watch! They run so fast that it was hard to get good photos.

Swim Lessons!

Sully is taking swim lessons again this fall. He loves the water and is becoming quite a good swimmer. It won't be long before the float is gone!
