Photo Shoot!

 

 

 

 

 

Yes, my annual attempt to get a picture of the boys together for the Christmas card!  All I want is...
1. for them to both be looking at the camera and smiling
2.for them to not have boogers or other junk on their clothes
3. for them to be in something that sort of matches so I don't have to change the picture to black and white
4. for them to stand still so the picture isn't blurry
5. for them to not complain the entire time!
Overall, it went pretty well and there were a couple to choose from.  Since they met all of the above requirements, I will not make them suffer through another photo shoot. The top picture is the winner!

It was a great day for trick-or-treating!  Sully went as an Army Guy and Charlie was Bumblebee the Transformer.  They got SOOOOO much candy!

Well, Sully is a super fast skater and hockey is an action-packed sport so you'll have to excuse the blurry pictures.  I may have to borrow a camera from one of my sisters to get some better shots!  This was Sully's first practice game.  He is playing on a house league which means that there is no travel involved.  He has one practice and one game per week.  He did a great job passing the puck and blocking some shots.  I am looking forward to his first season! He is number 5!

Weekends!

Bec, Matt, and the kids stopped by last weekend for a visit.  I love making Penelope smile!

Andy and I wanted to look at some yard stuff and stumbled upon a little fall festival at the garden center.  The boys each got to paint a mini pumpkin!

The weekends are family time and we try to relax and make the most of them!

Fall is Here!

A couple of weekends ago, we headed over to a school so Andy could fly his new toy and the boys could play.  As you can see, Andy's plane got stuck in the tree but Sully was able to help him out!

 

Yes, that is a sock in Sully's hand.  He loves to use it to play football in the house.  He tosses it and replays every game he ever saw.  I find socks all over the house (annoying). However, the sock is just right for playing football with Charlie (awesome).

School is in full swing and it has been very busy around here!  I was having some trouble with blogging but it seems to be working fine so I will try to post more often.  Labor Day weekend we were lucky enough to get together with both families. I didn't get any pictures at my parents but snapped a few on Monday at our house.  Luckily, the weather was great and the kids got some sprinkler action.  Then we put them to work washing the car!

Back to School!

 

 

The boys and I started back to school this week!  I am back to teaching first grade but it's a new school so it was VERY busy.  Charlie is in preschool and Sully started 2nd grade.  Both boys had a great week and like their new teachers.  It will be nice to relax this weekend!

It's been cooler this week with some cloudy and rainy weather on some days.  So we decided to check out the local children's museum earlier in the week.  Lots of other people had the same idea for an outing on a rainy morning so I'm glad we got there early.  When we left around 11, there was a line and a wait to get in!  The boys enjoyed exploring all of the exhibits!

Rebecca and Matt welcomed their third child on August 9th!  Andy and I were lucky enough to visit on the day she was born.  The kids had to wait until she came home so they met their new cousin for the first time yesterday. Sully couldn't get enough of little Penelope!  He wanted to hold her and couldn't believe how soft her hair was and how tiny she was.  We were even able to get a picture of all the cousins together which can be near impossible these days.  It's an exciting time!

We have been having a great summer!  It has been spent mostly at the pool trying to beat the heat. We have also done some visiting with family.  Uncle Scott came over for dinner last night and the boys wore him out with baseball, games, and their constant energy!

Cathy and the girls came for a visit.  After hanging out at the house for a bit, we headed over to the local farm.

 

There is a ton of fun stuff for the kids to play with including gathering the eggs!

We had a picnic lunch at the farm followed by ice cream and a nice walk home.  It's always great to see Cathy and the girls but it gets more difficult as the kids get even busier!
