Office Hours!

As I was getting ready for work this morning, Charlie decided to join me in the office/craft room. He was intrigued by each and every one of my craft tools and decided to do a little writing as well!

Memorable Monday

This was taken last summer (7-18-08) at Gramma and Poppa's pool. Sully has been a water bug since the very beginning. I have tons of pictures of him in the pool his first summer (before digital so I can't share them). Enjoy!

Our First Camping Trip!

Our first camping trip was fun and a learning experience! Our site was beautiful but it was a walk-up site. Not far but it would have been nice to have the car right there---alot of hauling with 2 kids. We underestimated how much firewood we would need. We had plenty for dinner and smores but not enough for the next morning! Other than that it went pretty well. The kids enjoyed running around and once things were set up Andy and I were able to relax. I think we will definitely try it again!

Camping: Packing List!

-tent, tarp, grill, sleeping bag, blankets, pillows, pack 'n play, snuggies, swim suits, water cooler, stuff for smores, tablecloth and clips, cooler with food, snacks, air mattress, flashlights, aqua socks for the boys, diapers, pots and pans, bug spray, sunscreen, towels...

We will be on the road soon. Can't wait to post about our adventure!

Charlie LOVES dogs so this weekend we bought him a Pound Puppy. I had one when I was little so I just couldn't help it. We named him Bowzer after my childhood Pound Puppy---how original!

A Splashin' Good Time!

We went us to the club to see Grammy and Grampy and go swimming. The kiddie pool is great because the deepest part is only a foot. Sully went swimming in the big pool with Grammy. It was a great way to spend the afternoon!

The Camping Decision!

Andy has been talking about going camping for a while now. I even got him a tent for Father's Day and recently purchased a book about great places for tent camping. So...we finally booked a one-night trip! We are going next weekend. I'll keep you posted as we get ready for the "big trip!"

Bear's New Bed!

Sully's bedtime routine involves reading about two books and then going to bed with Bear and Olivia (that's his snuggy's name---he named her after Cousin Olivia was born). Bear spent the year at school for nap time but is now home for the summer. Sully wanted him to have a bed just like Courdoroy does in the book so...he made a shoebox into a bed. The shoebox isn't very durable so we found another "bed" and Grammy made a mattress, pillow, and quilt for bear. So far, Bear seems to be enjoying his new bed!

Camera Practice!

This started out as an attempt to get some pictures of the boys together. They had just had baths and were in their jammies. It is nearly impossible to get them both looking at the camera and sitting still at the same time!



Charlie is on the floor laughing at Sully. All you can see of Sully are his super-long eyelashes!

Sully was at least somewhat cooperative during the photo shoot.

OMG!

This kid is nuts! Notice in the bottom picture how he is totally pulling himself up. Don't worry, he is fully supervised when the stove is in use. Andy and I sat down on the couch for a minute while the kids were playing and Sully is shouting, "Mom, look at Charlie!" Let me just say I am exhausted by bedtime!
