First Day at the Pool!

Sully finished school today at 10 and the rest of the day was busy, busy, busy! We went to the park, played basketball, built sandcastles, and went to the pool! This place is one of our favorites. The kids can wade around, slide, and control the fountains. The water is always freezing but it feels great on a nice, hot summer day. We will be spending lots of time there this summer.

First Outing of Summer 2011!

This week is free at the aquarium so the boys and I headed there first thing this morning.

We haven't been in a while and the boys loved looking at all the fish, turtles, stingrays, and sharks!

I took this before we headed in (not quite sure what Charlie is looking at!).

Afterwards, we had a picnic and then headed back home. I think we will be doing lots of this this summer. I love not having to clean up at home and the boys ate great!

The Great Outdoors!

We enjoyed the afternoon at a park. The weather was perfect---not too hot and not too cold! The boys climbed a ton and played tag. They even talked Andy into a game of tag. Only a few days until the boys and I will be enjoying our summer break together!

Festival Season is Here!

Here are the photos from our first festival of the season! The boys enjoyed the pony ride and walking around to see everything.

We went to our first festival of the summer on Sunday afternoon. Sully loves the festivals and couldn't wait. We walked over and it was super crowded because of the great weather. It was so crowded that the kids only went on the pony ride because the lines were just so long and it was almost dinner time. We walked home and grilled out. It is definitely starting to feel like summer!

Celebration!

Trevor and I celebrated our birthdays over the weekend! He turned 12 on Saturday and I turn 36 today (combined we are 48 years old!).

It was a fun-filled day with family. We were hoping for better weather but at least we got to enjoy some time outside before the rain.

It was the perfect day to take the bikes out for some riding around the neighborhood!

Happy Mother's Day!

My parents came to the city for breakfast this morning to celebrate Mother's Day! We enjoyed breakfast out followed by some park time. Sully really wanted to play hoops so we took a ball with us. It was little light for playing basketball so nobody scored many points. It was a fabulous Mother's Day!

Sully's school had their annual walk-a-thon today. It is their biggest fundraiser and Sully loves the event. Each class walk/runs for about 30 minutes. The laps get counted and classes win prizes. I had to work today so Jessica and Charlie were Sully's cheering squad. They did a great job and got some good photos for me!

The Love of Hockey!

Sully is the one in red. He still loves hockey and gets excited every Monday to play and score some goals. He improves each week and works hard on the ice!

Spring?

Laura and Abby came up yesterday afternoon because we (Laura, Abby, Sully, and I) are doing a 5K run/walk). We met Bec, Matt, and the kids at a park so we could all hang out and enjoy some nice weather---maybe spring is finally here! I don't think I have ever heard Abby's name called so many times. She was definitely in high demand at the park. We were lucky enough to have her and Laura stay at our house for the night and even hang out a bit after the race. I should have taken more pictures but it was a pretty busy day. A big thanks to Andy who was our personal chef! He grilled a fabulous dinner and prepared breakfast for everyone after the race.
