Happy 3rd Birthday Charlie Bear!

Charlie turned 3 today! We celebrated by having a family birthday party yesterday at Grammy and Grampy's house. Everyone was able to make it and the cousins had a great time playing together. We all enjoyed pizza, cake, and ice cream!

Exploration!

What better place to explore than The Museum of Science and Industry?! Bec and the kids invited us to join them on Friday morning and it worked out perfectly. We met them right when the museum opened and spent time exploring some exhibits the boys had not been to. We had lunch and then headed home. Thanks Bec!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving at Grammy and Grampy's this year. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Turkey Trot 2010!

Sully and I registered to run the Turkey Trot this year. I ran the 8K (5 miles) and Sully's race was 1/4 mile. Andy decided to stay home with Charlie so I had to race with Sully in the jog stroller. This was definitely a bigger challenge with 6000 runners and a muddy day but Sully was a trooper. The stroller and I were covered in mud splatter but we made it back in time for the kids race and Sully did great. He is fast on his feet! Plus, racing on Thanksgiving morning allows me to eat whatever I want and not feel guilty about it!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My parents were in town to celebrate my mom's birthday. They went to dinner and a performance and then stayed at Bec's house. We all met for breakfast this morning and a little time at the park.

Hello Gramma!

Charlie loves to have conversations on his pretend phone. Lately he has been "calling" Gramma on a regular basis. Listen carefully...he asks Gramma how Poppa is and what's he's been doing. He then asks if Poppa has been naughty! Enjoy!

Ouch!

Andy got a call at work today saying that Sully hurt himself at recess. He was playing tag with a friend and ran right into the slide. His nose was bleeding and it sounded pretty bad. When Andy got there, the bleeding had pretty much stopped and Sully was doing fine. I am guessing it looked much worse with all the blood! He stopped by the pediatrician's office to see if they thought it required an emergency room visit. They checked him over, gave him some tylenol, and told Andy that if his nose looked crooked after the swelling goes down than he probably broke it. You can see that his nose is pretty swollen but he is doing great and has no signs of a concussion!

Out if This World!

On this rainy Saturday morning, we all headed to the Planeterium. We discovered the children's section and the boys had fun exploring. They also got to make a project that shows how the Earth rotates and it is nighttime on one side and daytime on the other. A greta way to spend the morning...and we got cheap parking too!

Monkeyin' Around!

Sully had yesterday and today off from school. Today, Jessica took the boys to the zoo. I'm glad they got to enjoy what's left of this nice weather!

Jessica's roommate met them at the zoo. The boys enjoyed the extra attention of having both girls with them!

Climbing as usual!

Silly!

I left the camera with Jessica (our nanny) yesterday so she could take some pictures of Sully in a Patriotic Concert at school. The school lighting wasn't the best so I am not posting those pics. It looks like they had more fun goofing around with the camera at home so I am posting these instead. The boys have a great time with Jessica and as you can see, she just jumps right in with the boys!

Perfect Weather!

I was home a little early from a meeting so the boys and I headed to a nearby park to enjoy the perfect weather! Afterwards, we headed to the grocery store to pick up sandwich fixings for soup and sandwich night at home. I'm not sure how many of these great days will be left but we intend to enjoy them!

Weekend Getaway!

Andy and I headed to Kohler, WI over the weekend for a little getaway. My parents enjoyed the weekend in the city with Sully and Charlie going to the Children's Museum, playing at the parks, going out for Pizza, watching Toy Story 3, and visiting with Bec and Company!

This was the view from our room.

We spent the weekend relaxing, having leisurely meals, enjoying each other's company, walking outdoors, shopping, exploring, and sleeping in!

Skating Update!

Sully is doing awesome at ice skating! I am glad I got to see him in action yesterday. I am just waiting for the Blackhawks to start recruiting him!

Student of the Month!

Sully was selected as the Student of the Month by his teacher. He got to attend the breakfast at school which is donuts and juice---a big treat! Then the students are recognized from each room and receive a certificate from the Principal and Assistant Principal. Andy was lucky enough to be able to sneak away from work for a bit to attend the festivities along with Jessica and Charlie. You can see that Charlie enjoyed the donuts as well! Congratulations Sully!

Let the Fun Begin!

Sully at school for the Halloween parade!
The Halloween festivities actually started on Friday before Halloween. I asked Jessica (our nanny) if she could grab some pictures at Sully's school parade. She took Charlie to the parade and then they headed to Pump It Up for some more Halloween fun!

Charlie was sportin' his excited face the whole time at Pump It Up! He absolutely loves it there!
