Down on the Farm!

Sully at Trevor's baseball game!

At the game

Sully seems to have overcome his fear of the dogs

Trevor at bat

Fishing in the creek

The boys and I headed to the farm Monday morning.  We went to visit but also to see Trevor play baseball. The boys (especially Sully) loved being at a baseball game.  We still had  plenty of time to play on the farm, do some fishing, shoot some hoops, and hang out with Abby and Trevor!  It was a great visit!

Sullivan - Bicycle Rider

Daddy Post - Sully riding his bike!

You will have to excuse the lack of formatting, and difference from other posts, but this is my first one.  I took Sully to the school parking lot yesterday, to work with sully to get him riding his bike.  I have to first thank Mike and Jane because they did the hard work the day before with getting him comfortable with the thought of it first.  He was very apprehensive about it at first, very worried about falling over (who wouldn't be).    The was the hardest part of the job was convincing him that falling was no big deal.  He got over it pretty quick.  I had him go in a straight line for a couple times, then on to turning, and then on to braking.  After that he graduated to the big parking lot. Enjoy!!! Please excuse my "too excited daddy drivel".

We're Back!

Mommy's been really busy with the end of the school year!  School's out now, so check the blog to see what we're up to this summer!

Mother's Day 2012!

It's been a while since I posted but now that school's out I plan to do lots more blogging!

We celebrated Mother's Day in familyland.  We had a great day with awesome weather and fabulous food!

Ice Man!

Sully is still skating each week and learning more about stick handling and playing hockey.  He's definitely ready to play on a team.  We'll probably look into the local house league for the fall.

An Egg-ceptional Day!

Saturday, we colored eggs in preparation for the Easter Bunny!  The boys enjoy this every year and then have even more fun trying to find the eggs in the morning.  As usual, they colored some beautiful eggs but ended up with even more dye on their hands!

A Day in the City!

Monday, the boys and I headed to the city. First, Sully got a haircut. Then we headed to the condo for some clean-up duties. Next, stop was to see Andy at work and go out for lunch. The kids enjoyed playing at one of their favorite city parks and having pizza for lunch. It was a great day!

Score!

Poppa and Gramma came for a visit on Saturday. The boys (especially Sully) are extreme sports enthusiasts these days so of course Poppa and Gramma had to play. They enjoyed games of hockey and basketball. Sully was amazed that Gramma was so good at hockey! We had a great visit and Andy prepared fantastic steaks on the grill for dinner.

Happy Spring!

...or is it summer! We are getting so spoiled with this awesome weather! 86 degrees---it is unbelievable. The boys are enjoying spending as much time outside as possible. We are enjoying grilling out and watching our yard bloom. Let's hope this beautiful weather continues!

Reading with Grampy!

Grammy and Grampy stopped by this afternoon to check out all the work that we have done on the house. Grampy could not escape without a story request from Charlie. His theme last week at school was Fairy Tales and he really enjoyed it. The boys loved hearing Grampy read "Cinderella."

LOVE!

I LOVE this part of living in the burbs---looking into the backyard and watching all 3 of "my boys" playing! We are enjoying this mild winter and lots of opportunities to play in the yard.

You Grew in My Heart!

So I improvised and took a couple of photos of scrapbook pages so I could post a couple of pictures of Sully, the day he came home. He had sharp little fingernails and always kept his hands up by his face, hence the scratches.

I could not stop smiling. I went to work in the morning and my cell phone rang at about 8:30 a.m. I left school in a hurry and went to meet Sully on February 22, 2005. He was just two days old and ready to be released from the hospital. What joy he has brought to our lives!

Happy 7th Birthday Sully!

Sully was so excited to get a new bike for his birthday! With this great weather, he may even be able to ride it before summer time.

Sully has brought joy to all those around him for the past seven years!
He loves... sports, reading, school, playing with friends, his brother, ice skating, ice cream, pizza, playing board games, being outside, all of his cousins and family, playing hide-and-seek, climbing trees, running, footie pajamas, card games, and chess. I am looking forward to another great year of watching Sully grow!

Sully Through the Years!

Sully on his 6th birthday!

Turning 5!

Fabulous at 4!

Terrific at 2!

Tomorrow, Sully turns 7! I was looking through some photos and had to post some past birthdays. I went digital when he was two so it's a little hard to post pictures of him prior to that. He has always had that great smile. He loves birthdays (just like me) and is excited to celebrate!

Memorable Monday (a day early!)

This was Sully at 23 months. I was just posting pictures from his 7th birthday party and started reminiscing. I did not have a digital camera before this so I will have to figure out how to post some baby pics of him. I can't believe he will turn 7 next week!

Make a Wish!

It was a Bear's themed party for Abby and Sully this year! It's so much fun to celebrate together. Abby turned 11 at the beginning of the month and Sully will turn 7 next week---it's amazing how time flies! I think the birthday people all had a great time and it was nice to have everyone together.
