We have been trying to get outside as much as possible to take advantage of this beautiful weather! We walked to a local produce market today (3 miles round trip!) and I took this photo of Sully and Andy!

The New Car!

Here it is! My new car...a 2010 Subaru Outback. I will have to take some more pics but this is all I have right now.

New Shoes!

Both boys are sporting new gym shoes! Now they can run even faster!

Adventure in the City!

We decided to get out and enjoy the city on a beautiful day! Andy took a couple of days off since Sully and I are on spring break. We checked out a pass to the Field Museum and decided to have the full experience...including the subway and city bus!

We walked a half mile to the subway, rode the subway, then walked a couple of blocks to wait for the bus. This picture was taken at the bus stop! The bus dropped us off right in front of the museum.

There was an exhibit about volcanoes forming islands. Sully loved looking at the lava rocks!

It is so nice to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. It sure makes for a great break this week.

The last few days!

We went to visit my Grandpa at the retirement home and the kids found the Bingo game! Charlie loved turning the handle and Sully loved playing.

We met up with Bec, O, and Alex at the park. It was pretty chilly so we took the kids for a treat at a local cafe.

Spirit Week: Pajama Day!

This week is Spirit Week at Sully's school. He was so excited that yesterday was pajama day! He thought Charlie should wear his pajamas all day too. As you can tell by the pictures, he is pretty pumped up about spirit week. Today was Crazy Hair Day. I was too busy trying to get his super straight hair to stick up that I forget to take pics. When he got home, I noticed that his hair wasn't sticking up anymore. He said, "My hair was sticking up and then we had a fire drill outside and it was sticking down!"

Memorable Monday

These were taken two years ago when we visited the Museum of Science and Industry. Sully loved it and Charlie was happy to be along for the ride!

World Map!

Sully asked me to tape two pieces of paper together so that he could make a map. He says he has been doing this at school. He made a circle on each side and is representing the continents. He can name the continents when asked and has them in the correct places. In the photo above, he is coloring in the ocean. He amazes us each day with how much he knows and is learning!

After School!

Bec met us at the playground with Olivia and Alex. Charlie wanted to hang out with Alex!

I'm off on Thursdays so I get to take Sully to school and pick him up. When the weather is nice, we'll stay after school to play on the playground. We went for a little treat and walked around the neighborhood as well. It's definitely starting to feel like Spring!

Cookies!

We all had a taste for something sweet last night so the whole family pitched in to make cookies after dinner! They were absolutely delicious!

On Monday, we went to Gymboree after school. The boys love running around and playing on all the equipment. I love it because it's safe, clean, I can actually watch both boys, and I get to talk with other moms. It's a win-win situation!
