Door County

We decided spur of the moment to go to Doory County, WI. We went up on Wednesday, spent the night, and came back Thursday afternoon. I know...a lot of driving for such a short trip! I have been many times with my sisters and it was nice to see some of our favorite spots and share them with Andy and the boys. We especially enjoyed our trip to the Peninsula State Park.

Our Little Firefighter!

Sully loves Firefighters, fire engines, ariel ladder trucks, fire stations, fire hydrants... He even knows the engine numbers of the engines near our house! He got this costume from Laura, Jim, and the kids and loves to put it on and fight fires!

Enjoying a Sunny Afternoon!

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday afternoon and went to a great park with a water feature (sprinkler). The boys had a great time running from the water to the playground and were definitely ready for bed last night!

I think the Lincoln Logs are just as much fun for Andy. Sully like to use his cars and play with the buildings but Andy is a master builder. I love to watch them playing together!

Awesome parking, museum pass giving us free admission, no traffic, a short program, lots of stuff to look at...a well-spent morning!

Walking to Gymboree!

After naptime today, I decided we should walk to Gymboree for open play time. It's about 1.5 miles and Sully did a great job and walks at a pretty good pace. I was pushing Charlie in the stroller and it was quite a workout. Sully is at the age where he likes to explore everything so he couldn't help but pick a few "flowers."

Trying New Things!

Charlie has been very apprehensive about the sand this summer. Today he was watching Sully and reached for my hand to help him climb in the sandbox! He spent quite a bit of time digging and playing with the trucks!

Beach Time with Poppa and Gramma!

My parents came over to hang out with the boys and I today (Andy was at a poker tournament). We decided to go to the beach, however, when we got there the weather wasn't so "beachy." You can see in some of the pictures just how windy it was. Sand was all over everything and I had to wrap up in a towel to keep from freezing! It was still a fun day and always great to hang out with my parents.

Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny afternoon. We met my parents and Olivia at a neighborhood pool. The kids area is awesome!
